I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break! Life has now gotten a fraction of a percent harder! We are going to be learning about fractions for the next week! Every time you have a whole of something, and it breaks apart, I want you think about fractions. Bring me back different examples of fractions around your house!

Division

Hey! Hey kids! Guess what! We are now doing long division. What makes division and long division different? One is longer haha! Yeah so I will send you all home with a worksheet full of division problems. I expect them all to be finished, or at least attempted to the best of your abilities. Good luck, and don't take too LONG to finish!

Library time!

Students! We have a library in case you didn't know. Whats the purpose of the library you ask? Well it is for research of course. When you enter the library I want you to check in at the counter. The librarian will show you how to log into the computer and how to begin your research. Please don't run around or make a lot of noise. I will throw a book at you so you get book smart... The library is essential for projects and writing assignments.

Graphing

Hello again students. Aren't graphs just the best thing ever? We use graphs every now and then in life to be honest. I want you all to practice using graphs. Try drawing different shapes on graph paper, and place a dot everywhere that the lines connect. After you do that, count the number of squares it took to get to that dot upwards and from the side. Show me your graphs on Friday, and i'll critique your ability to properly draw shapes...in a graph.

Power teaching

We are going to begin using power teaching within our classroom. This will help every student become more well behaved, under control, and alert. This may take a bit of time to get used to, but by the end of the year, every student will become proficient at this, and have learned far more than normal.

Multiplication assignment

Well I have good news and bad news for everyone! The good news is you all have another assignment! And it's math! The bad news is I have more grading to do! HAHA, don't you just love my class? So this is how the assignment is going to work. I will randomly assign you all math problems with random difficulties. Each one of you will get two 3 star difficulty problems, five 2 star difficulties, and twelve 1 star difficulties. The more stars, the harder the problem obviously! 3 stars are triple digit multiplications, 2 stars are double digit multiplications, and 1 stars are...double digit multiplications but easier than the 2 stars. Does that make sense? Kinda jacked up isn't it? Well life is a learning experience. Enjoy your homework! And remember, math ain't so bad, it's what i use to calculate your grade!
